Ciao!
Nice to meet you, I am Martina :)
My name is Martina Contisciani, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Tübingen, Germany), working under the supervision of Caterina De Bacco. My Ph.D. is supported by Cyber Valley and by the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS), which is also affiliated to the University of Tübingen.

Previously, I was a master's student in Data Science at the University of Padua (Padua, Italy), where I also obtained my bachelor's degree in Statistics.

My research focuses on the development of statistical methods and algorithms to analyze network data. In particular, I am interested in characterizing the structure and mesoscale organization of real-world data, as well as investigating new theoretical perspectives for loosening the assumption of conditional independence in network models.
